YBTC News—Al-Imran Islamic Foundation as one of its selfless service to humanity and the generality of the muslim ummah, as its yearly outreach to the less priviledged, have ensured the feeding of over 1,500 internally displaced persons ( IDPs) in Abuja camp with the #i#iamwithidps.
This year however, as a means of remembrance of our beloved sister and Co-founder of Al-Imran Islamic Foundation, Kafayat Abdul ,who passed on earlier this year after a brief illness, we strive to keep her dreams and projects alive which includes the Ramadan feeding project.
Speaking to Newsmen, the founder of the foundation, Mr. Yusuf Yusuf, here is what he said:
“Al-imran Islamic Foundation is a non- governmental islamic organisation established in 2015 with the goal to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and alleviate problems faced by Nigerian muslim ummah in the world. Our foundation focuses mainly on the provision of relief materials and developmental aid to the less privileged and needy in nigeria but hopefully by God’s grace hope to extend our helping hands to the world at large overtime.
“Insha Allah, since established , Al-Imran Islamic foundation have successfully embarked on a number of projects in the last four years of which one amongst such projects is the – “Feed the muslim ( IDPs) internally displaced persons” which was first carried out in 2015 , and subsequently in 2016 and 2017 with the campaign hashtag #iftarandsahurforall# where over 200 muslims were cartered for during the Ramadan period.
“For our 2018 Ramadan outreach to Internally displaced persons (IDPs), insha Allah, the Foundation cartered for about 1,500 muslims for the iftar and sahur feast”, Yusuf said.
Mr Yusuf called out to fellow Muslim brothers and Sisters in Islam for ample donations.
“We are using this medium to call out to our fellow Muslim in Islam for donations either in cash or kind, to help champion this righteous course as Allah (S.W.T) has enjoined on us.”
As muslims, it is imperative for us to remember that the month of Ramadan is a month filled with immense blessings, a month where every single act of kindness is rewarded. Our prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) has also said that, whatever one spends with a good heart either to ones parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless or travellers in need, whatever good one does, Allah is surely aware of it. lets build a mindset that “charity is not a sacrifice but an investment.
“As we show our solidarity to our muslim brothers and sisters in their time of peril, we pray that Allah (S.W.T) guide and protect us from any impending danger, and accept our act as an act of ibadah, the founder said.”
