Tambuwal is a Political Greenhorn, Says Buhari Media organization

YBTC NEWS—The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant and Sokoto state governor Aminu Tambuwal has been described as a political greenhorn with no capacity to govern a country like Nigeria.

This, according to the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO), is because he cannot even run a state properly.

In a statement by its Chairman Niyi Akinsiju and Secretary Cassidy Madueke, the group said that Tambuwal has no record of performance in Sokoto state to show that he could deliver at a much higher national level.

BMO wondered how such an individual would call President Muhammadu Buhari’s achievements in the last three years to question.

“Here is someone who, after three years, could not even build on the sterling performance of his estranged political leader Aliyu Wammako on whose back he rode to power without a political structure of his own.

“His only claim to fame is the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives which he got as a result of the political sagacity of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who rallied South West legislators to back him against PDP’s preferred candidate for the position.”

The group described Tambuwal as an inconsequential politician who should not be in the running for the Presidential ticket of even an ethically challenged party like PDP if not for the unseen hand that is propping him up.

“We are not surprised to see Tambuwal seeking to ride on the wave of backing from Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State. And that is Tambuwal’s stock-in-trade, always hanging on the coat-tail of others and not necessarily on any record of his own performance.

“In short, he is the political equivalent of what is known as a social climber,” BMO said.

BMO said Tambuwal’s claims of marginalisation of the South West is clear proof that he does not understand the political landscape of a country he is aspiring to lead, yet he says he has the experience to run Nigeria.
